About me
For those of you that don’t know me, I’m Lindsay Space. I’m a 30-something wife, living in Cincinnati, Ohio with my handy husband, Dave and our double doodle, Finn. I am a Marketing Specialist for the family business by day and a decor enthusiast by night.
I am a lover of all things food; I could eat pizza every day of my life. I enjoy reading and fall into the small niche of people who love doing laundry. Cooking is NOT for me but I think I’ve got the baking thing down. I have grown a love of gardening from my mom and grandma. There is nothing more rewarding then bringing life & beauty back into landscapes & homes. My husband and I are always on the go; whether it’s to our neighborhood brewery, relaxing at the lake or traveling the US…. we are spending fun tickets any chance we can.
We bought our first house, a total fixer upper, in May of 2015. Upon moving in, we knew our house was very much livable, but there was so much life we wanted to put back into it. Built in 1934, with few updates prior to us, it needed quite a bit of love. It had so much character so we were excited to make this house a home.
Three years later, we decided to start making our house a home. It wasn’t until we decided to tackle our first big project that I realized how handy Dave really was. We demoed and rennovated our kitchen and bathroom all on our own… turns out we make a great team!
I started documenting our projects which later encouraged me to start my instagram page. I had no idea it would turn into such a hobby but after completing several DIY projects, its so fun to look back at the process and end result. I now have started this blog as I felt I had more to share than what would fit in my instagram squares. Here I will be able to share more details from projects we complete along with sources of products used.
While there are days I wished home decor was my full-time gig, it has been rewarding to be able to share my passion with so many others that my style aligns with. My design aesthetic is a mix of white, black and wood tones. I have gone very neutral over the last year, with a modern farmhouse flair and muted colors to add sparingly in tune with the seasons.
I am very thankful for this little corner of the interweb that has allowed me to share, grow and connect. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you! Stay tuned for more DIY projects and before/afters of some big projects we have completed in our home.
